This case-based monograph will help participants navigate the difficult process of diagnosing patients whose condition includes both psychotic and affective elements.
Educational Objectives
1. Analyze the genetics, neurobiologocal, neurochemical, and neurocognitive manifestations of schizoaffective disorder and their relationship to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and major depressive disorder in order to identify patients with schizoaffective disorder.

2. Diagnose schizoaffective disorder utilizing medical history, family history, mental status examination, physical/neurological examination, and assessment tools.
