This activity has been designed for child, adolescent and adult psychiatrists; pediatricians; pediatric neurologists; nurse practitioners; and physician assistants.
Activity Goals and Needs
This 13th Annual activity offers state-of-the-art presentations highlighting the most recent developments in clinical pediatric psychiatry. If understanding the pharmacological management of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders is your goal, you’ll get the essential tools you need at the 13th Annual Clinical Pediatric Psychopharmacology Symposium, with a special focus on practical, evidence-based and new psychopharmacological agents. This activity will increase your skills and build your confidence in evaluating and making appropriate pharmacological decisions for children and adolescents.
Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of this meeting, participants should be able to:

1) Recognize current evidence-based approaches and future directions in the treatment of childhood-onset schizophrenia in children and adolescents
2) Summarize and be able to implement current evidence-based recommendations for the pharmacological treatment of depression and non-suicidal self injury in children and adolescents
3) Recognize current evidence-based consensus on the treatment of chronic ADHD
4) Utilize best current practice in the treatment of OCDand tic disorders in children and adolescents
5) Understand the current evidence base and apply this knowledge to the treatment of the endocrine side effects of medication in child psychiatry
