Intended Audience
This activity is designed for a national and international audience of practicing gastroenterologists, surgeons, GI fellows, GI nurses and associates.
Activity Goals and Needs
The field of gastrointestinal endoscopy is rapidly evolving. Advances in therapeutic endoscopy continue to challenge or entirely replace certain purely diagnostic endoscopic techniques. The overall goals of this course are to enhance patient care by providing participants with a better understanding of how to use state-of-the-art technology in the most cost-effective way and to foster an evidence based approach to endoscopic decision-making for the most commonly encountered and controvesial problems facing gastroenterologists today. New technologies will be discussed and demostrated in a live forum and audio-visual presentations. Anmple time will be allowed for audience questions and participants will have a chance to practice techniques in the hands-on demonstration area.
